Calico
The first single premiered via a performance on FOX LA’s “Good Day LA” on TV and online (June 7th), with a full week of promo on FOX networks driving to Brooke’s properties reaching millions of impressions. This led to a video premiere locked in on The Boot. Rolling Stone featured the single on June 21st on their “10 best Country and Americana songs to hear now” and wrote – “More than a decade after covering Carole King and Carly Simon on American Idol‘s seventh season, Brooke White offers up her own version of California country with “Calico.” It’s a blend of Nashville’s neon-lit twang and Laurel Canyon’s warm folk-pop, with White reveling in her self-made culture clash.”
We are working with Kymm Britton on the PR campaign which will continue to roll out via singles once per month or so until release, and we expect it will continue to gather steam from this strong launch.
We plan to retain the services of Fame House to work one (possibly two) singles to 3rd party Spotify playlists – in the past they do not work a track unless they believe strongly they can get at least 1MM plays on it.
We will be servicing smaller radio stations in secondary markets via CDX once there is more singles out and a stronger press story, and plan to service a single (likely “Back Pocket” all mainstream radio stations across the USA and Canada upon album release.
