RARE & HARD TO FIND Vintage Corning Ware “Casual Elegance” (a/k/a “L Series”) Bakeware Serving Ware line in the discontinued Corning pattern “WHITE FLORA” which was only produced from 1994-1998. This genuine Corning Pyroceram casserole is all white in color with an embossed floral pattern along the top rim of the dish, bottom is smooth finish. This is the largest 2.25 quart casserole that was produced stamped # L-32. Casual Elegance was marketed as an all in one designer style Corning Ware that was perfect for festive holiday use as it was very elegant looking for formal table top use. Versatile casserole cookware / bakeware that was designed for use from oven, broiler or microwave – to table top use – to refrigerator or freezer for storage. The Casual Elegance line also had matching custom Corning Pyrex Clear Glass Lids / Covers produced with a very unique and distinct style handle on top in comparison to the typical Pyrex knob / button handle, this glass cover also reverses upside down inside the casserole for storage to save space, they also had a matching Casual Elegance Plastic Refrigerator Freezer Storage Cover that was available for purchase separately. This large 2.25 quart oval casserole baking and serving dish is “EMBOSSED STAMPED” (which is like a raised braille stamping) on the outside bottom middle and will be stamped as follows: L-32, CORNING, OVEN, BROILER, MICROWAVE, FREEZER. This is the largest size of the casserole serving dishes that were produced for the Corning Ware “Casual Elegance White Flora” bake ware line. Casserole dish capacity is: 2.25 Quart (= 8.87 cups) just under 9 cups total. Outside dimensions (outside rim to outside rim across the top): 14″ inches long by 10 3/8″ inches wide by 3 ¼” inches high (tall). The oval shape smooth bottom of the casserole dish measures appx. 9 1/2″ inches by 5 3/4″ inches. Weight of casserole is:3 pounds 10 ounces, including the glass lid it weighs 5 pounds 3 ounces.
